User Reviews

Users praise Shuffle Photos as a simple, reliable slideshow tool that effectively shuffles photos and videos across albums with easy, one-tap controls. It’s a focused alternative to iOS Photos for playing back slideshows, including basic playback across devices. Recurrent downsides include intrusive ads (often persisting even after buying the Pro version), bugs and freezes after updates, and UX quirks like inconsistent menus between media types and limited sharing/export options. Some feature requests remain unmet, but the core shuffling and slideshow functionality remains its strongest point.
Pros
  • Simple, no-frills slideshow app that gets the job done.
  • Reliable shuffle of photos and videos across albums.
  • Easy to learn with a one-tap interface.
  • Works well as a dedicated slideshow player for photos and videos.
  • Responsive developer/support with fixes and timely updates.
Cons
  • Ads are intrusive and persist even after upgrading to Pro.
  • Bugs, freezes, and crashes after updates.
  • UI/UX inconsistencies and lack of configurability (menu order varies between photos and videos).
  • Limited sharing/export options (cannot easily share an entire slideshow; Files/Folders support is missing).
  • Many user-requested features (continuous/infinite shuffle, beat-sync, speed controls) remain unmet.

Been using this app for years. Can’t complain. It’s to the point. Gets the job done. UI is simple. Wish it had a little more features, like maybe playback speed feature but at that point I’d just use a media player instead. This is an efficient, solid, reliable, easy, no bs slideshow app (especially compared to other ones). Do recommend.

Fairly easy but some things aren’t so intuitive. Wish there were many different random transitions.
