User Reviews

Users praise Eat the Rainbow for its simple, user-friendly design, rainbow color visuals, and a plant-focused approach that emphasizes variety over calories, helping people eat more fruits, vegetables, and other plants. It’s enjoyed for motivation and ease, especially since no account is required. Common drawbacks across reviews include recurring bugs with daily goals, reliability issues with Favorites, and a desire for more customization (custom foods and ethnic options). Despite flaws, many find it motivating and enjoyable.
Pros
  • Simple and user-friendly interface that’s easy to use.
  • Colorful rainbow visuals and color-coding make tracking appealing.
  • Focus on plant foods and dietary diversity rather than calories.
  • Motivates healthier eating by increasing awareness of daily and weekly variety.
  • Does not require an account; privacy-friendly and quick to start.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs around daily goals, including crashes when setting or changing goals and miscounted progress.
  • Favorites feature is unreliable (items can be added automatically or become hard to manage).
  • Limited food database; users want to add custom foods or include more ethnic/region-specific items.
  • Some UI issues with goal tracking (difficulty figuring out how to change the goal or incorrect goal display).

Great app my only issue with it is that when I search for a food and press enter it automatically fills in a food. A food that I didn’t select. Like I type cuc for cucumber and press it enter it gives another food. Please fix this Update: I would like if I could add fruits and vegetables that aren’t here with the specific color

This app is useless.

This app is easy to use and does a nice job tracking the plant foods you are eating. Two suggestions for upcoming enhancements would be to: (1) add functionality that allows you to copy your selections from a specific date and use for to another. Many days I’m eating the same meals and it would save time to be able to copy the previous day rather than having to search and select each item again. (2) add a ‘delete all’ button to the search bar. Having to hit the backspace button for each character is tedious so it would be great to clear out the search field with one button.
