Features & Capabilities

Suguru, also known as Tectonics or Number Blocks, is a classic logic puzzle with two simple rules: in each group, the numbers 1 to N must appear once (N being the group size); no two adjacent cells, including diagonals, may contain the same number.

In this Chrome extension, there are 6000 unique levels spread across six difficulty tiers, with 1000 levels per tier. If you solve the 1000th level of a tier, you can tackle the first level of the next tier. Start at Novice and climb toward Master—the challenge grows with every puzzle.

User Reviews

Reviewers praise Suguru for its ad-free experience and engaging, Sudoku-like puzzles, with a large, multi-difficulty library and a simple interface. The main drawbacks are stability issues (frequent freezes), unclear or inconsistent difficulty progression, cumbersome navigation through many levels, and annoying auto-fill behavior that can place invalid numbers. Overall, fans love the concept and breadth and feel it’s worth the download, but want fixes for freezes, smoother progression, and easier level navigation.
Pros
  • Ad-free, free-to-play experience
  • Engaging and addictive puzzles that feel similar to Sudoku
  • Large library of puzzles across multiple levels and difficulties
  • Simple, intuitive interface
  • Positive reception and perceived value (worth the download)
Cons
  • Frequent freezing/crashes that interrupt play
  • Difficulty progression seems inconsistent; higher levels do not clearly increase in challenge
  • Navigating/scrolling through very long level lists is tedious; users request direct level selection or a scrollbar
  • Auto-fill / candidate-fill sometimes places numbers beyond what the current group allows, requiring tedious corrections

Suguru is simply amazing. I’ve been addicted to sudoku for years, and although this is a different game, it has a similar vibe. I’d give it more stars if I could. This is hands down my new favorite game and my new addition, and it could be yours, too.
