User Reviews

Reviews show Hitch is valued by some students for affordable, convenient travel, especially between campus and home. However, reliability is the dominant concern: repeated delays, late or missing drivers, and last-minute cancellations plague many rides. Several customers report weak support and limited refunds when things go wrong, and some criticize the pricing model for underpaying drivers, which may worsen availability. Overall, Hitch offers student-friendly pricing but struggles with consistency and service reliability.
Pros
  • Affordability for students and budget-conscious riders.
  • Convenient option for college students traveling to campus or home.
  • Positive feedback on ease of use and quick access to rides.
Cons
  • Frequent delays and long wait times for pickups.
  • Drivers sometimes do not show up or cancel at the last minute.
  • Poor customer support and limited compensation/refund options.
  • Pricing model appears to underpay drivers, contributing to reliability issues.
  • Not worth the price due to overall reliability problems.

What an amazing service. $50 some odd dollars for a ride from Houston to Austin. I cost me, to take a 20min uber from my house to work in Houston, around $47! Def using this service again (to get back to Houston) and in the future. Got to sleep the whole way there
