User Reviews

Users like the app for its easy, engaging interface and interactive pronunciation-focused learning, but repeatedly complain about subscription/pay issues, questionable translation quality, unreliable speech recognition, limited free content, and weak review features.
Pros
  • Easy, fun, and clean interface that makes learning approachable.
  • Interactive features for listening, speaking, and spelling help with pronunciation and vocabulary.
  • Vocabulary-focused practice that reinforces recall and speaking skills.
  • Supports multiple languages and includes pronunciation guidance.
Cons
  • Payment and subscription issues: users report being charged without receiving Pro access, purchases not being recognized, and perceived false advertising about free access.
  • Content quality concerns: some translations and definitions appear inaccurate or misleading (e.g., wrong word associations or examples).
  • Poor speech recognition and robot-like voice: mispronunciations, inability to reliably register user speech, and slow response.
  • Limited free content and heavy Pro gating: only a few lessons without paying, with many features locked behind a Pro subscription.
  • Weak review and progress-tracking features: limited ability to review past words or pronunciations, plus occasional UX bugs (e.g., returning to the home screen).

I really enjoy this app i do, if only i could get the subscription. It’s so frustrating because I bought one month of the subscription and it says purchase successful then I go into the app and it says it not found. Extremely frustrating! And even wasted 5 bucks😔

I tried this out to supplement my Mandarin and they were saying ai means dark when it actually means love. The hanzi didn’t even have anything to do with the word dark since that’s 黑(hēi) or 暗(an). Don’t use this app they’ll literally reach you the wrong thing.
