Overall, Cloki impresses with deep customization and thoughtful moon/astronomy features, making a beautiful analog clock a standout desktop element. Users repeatedly praise the range of faces, rims, hands, and the moon phase/sunrise data, along with the calming aesthetic. However, several recurring issues dampen the experience: visual integration problems (non-transparent background, widget frame, and lock-screen availability), stability bugs (freezes after sleep and occasional disappearance or alarm glitches), and a less polished feel on iOS devices compared with the Mac version.

Pros

Extensive customization options for faces, rims, hands, colors, and layouts.
Moon phase, sunrise/sunset data, and calendar items are integrated and accessible from the clock.
Aesthetically pleasing analog clock with calming backgrounds and a zen feel.
Solid desktop widget experience on Mac with chimes on the hour and multiple display options.

Cons

Background/visual issues: background often appears black instead of transparent, widget frame around the clock, clipping at small sizes, and lock-screen widget availability is limited or missing.
Stability problems: clock can freeze after sleep, may disappear from the desktop, and alarm-related features can misbehave.
Less polished experience on iOS devices (iPhone/iPad) with some features not working as well or at all there, compared to the Mac version.

Recent reviews

This is not the app they imply it is. The pre-sales promotion shows plenty of options, but when one sets one option, several other options go away. My advice: Don’t waste your cash; look elsewhere. This is a “lazy-bones” app, meaning the app feels like the developer doesn’t care about quality—they did the absolutely minimum to get one’s $4. The majority of options are “mutually exclusive,” meaning if one chooses one option, it automatically excludes several other options. To me, this app is not worth the $4. Moreover, I consider this a “fly-by-night” app, where the company takes your money and runs: all they care about is your cash. The developer does not give a flying-F about quality.
