User Reviews

Reviewers praise FabuLingua for engaging, story-based Spanish learning, strong visuals, pronunciation practice, classroom-friendly features, and motivating rewards. However, they repeatedly report onboarding and login failures, billing issues and refunds, app glitches and stability problems, and concerns about content depth and pacing relative to price. Overall, it shows high educational potential when it works, but reliability, onboarding, and value need attention to satisfy a broad range of users.
Pros
  • Engaging, story-driven content that helps kids learn Spanish and keeps them motivated.
  • High-quality, appealing visuals and illustrations that enhance immersion.
  • CopyCat mode supports pronunciation and speaking practice.
  • Educator-friendly features like a teacher dashboard and progress tracking.
  • Rewards system (gold keys, stickers, treasure chests) that sustains engagement across sessions.
Cons
  • Billing and subscription issues, including upfront charges and difficult refund processes.
  • Onboarding/login problems (AppleID sign-in, in-app browser loops) that prevent setup.
  • App instability and glitches (black screens, freezing, 'Tutorial Beach' bug).
  • Content pacing and length issues (long stories, not enough incremental steps, repetitive content).
  • Perceived low value for cost due to limited content and high subscription price.

I signed up for a 7 day trial and that same day I got charged a year subscription for the program. I thought maybe I would keep it. The page crashed a lot. The activities are way too slow of a pace. This generation sadly expects electronics to go at a faster speed or they lose interest. It doesn’t allow you to skip pages or make the story telling go faster. I got bored going through it with my kids myself. Maybe this could be beneficial for children starting to speak. Not for elementary school aged children. Cool graphics though!

I’m loving that they’re having so much fun learning Spanish! I feel good about their screen time being so wholesome and them learning so much. 💕
