User Reviews

Users praise KeePassium for keeping their password data offline and locally stored with strong cross‑platform iOS/macOS support and a security‑minded design. The app is lauded for offline passkey generation, TOTP support, and a straightforward, fast interface. However, recurring complaints focus on cloud‑sync reliability, especially with iCloud Drive, and some cross‑device syncing issues. Autofill is reported as both reliable in some cases and spotty in others. Additional UX friction around transferring data between databases and a few macOS UI quirks are also noted. Overall, a privacy‑centric KeePass client that many users prefer to cloud‑based managers.
Pros
  • Offline/local password database storage for privacy and control.
  • Excellent cross‑platform integration with iOS and macOS and fast, easy navigation.
  • Passkeys and TOTP are well supported, including offline passkey generation.
  • Privacy‑focused design and a trusted, security‑minded approach (no cloud dependency and open‑source vibe).
Cons
  • Sync issues with cloud services (notably iCloud Drive) and cross‑device synchronization failures.
  • Autofill can be inconsistent or spotty across apps.
  • Data transfer between databases can be cumbersome (secrets/QR not easily transferred; export may be required).
  • macOS UI quirks and occasional window/toolbar bugs.

I bought premium to get the automating generation yet every time I try to get it to generate me the password right away it says I need to buy premium. When I click buy it says I already have it. Please fix it and I’ll update my review! Great app tho
