Features & Capabilities

Orchestra of Lights is a Chrome App that lets you control Gemmy's lighting collection from your browser. With a single Indoor WiFi Hub, you can configure dozens of effects and colors to create a synchronized, music-driven show, guided by clear step-by-step setup instructions.

Key features include 140 color/effects combinations, Bluetooth music playback, and the ability to add your own lights with the Universal Virtuoso Speaker. Bind 20-25 items to one hub and manage an entire holiday display from your smartphone. The lineup includes LED Edison bulbs, Icicle and C9 strings, the LED Projection Set, and more, with Lowe's carrying the collection.

User Reviews

Users like the concept and hardware quality, and some experiences with newer hubs are positive. However, the majority report chronic reliability problems: unreliable timers, frequent hub/light/app syncing issues, a buggy and limited app, sparse content/themes, and a sense of poor value for money. Improvements with updates are noted by some, but the overall sentiment is that ongoing reliability and usability need work.
Pros
  • Concept of a hub-driven, music-synced lighting system is strong and appealing.
  • Light quality and overall hardware are solid when functioning.
  • When it works, the shows and custom programs can be impressive.
  • Some users report improvements with the newer hub and updates, showing ongoing refinements.
Cons
  • Unreliable timer/automation: lights frequently ignore schedules or turn on/off unpredictably.
  • Frequent connectivity and syncing issues between hub, lights, and the app; devices won’t bind or require repeated resets.
  • Buggy, hard-to-use app with limited per-light control and customization; confusing UI and limited features.
  • Limited content and customization options (few built-in songs/themes, difficulty saving colors or applying per-section settings).
  • Perceived poor value: overpriced given recurring issues and inconsistent support.

I’ve had this set for 6 years. With every update it gets worse. Now I have to reset my lights every single day, they turn on how they are suppose to then within hours they just do what they want- very maddening! Overpriced for all the problems! Can’t wait for them to just break and get a new product!!!

You should either give more options or should give customization through app or a pc/Mac application. Get boring with just 6 sets of songs.
