User Reviews

User reviews are dominated by billing and access problems: repeated charges, failed cancellations, and refunds being denied or delayed. Many report the app doesn’t work well—scanning books, adding Kindle titles, or processing content fail or require tedious workarounds. Some customers lost trust, calling it a scam. There are a few positives: ease of scanning, occasional helpful customer service (Stacy), and perceived savings when upgrading subscriptions. Overall sentiment is negative, centering on reliability, billing practices, and limited functionality.
Pros
  • Ease of scanning and quickly going through books.
  • Positive customer service experiences when issues are resolved (e.g., Stacy).
  • Perceived savings from upgrading subscriptions (annual plans) for some users
Cons
  • Cancellation/renewal issues leading to ongoing charges and difficulty stopping subscriptions.
  • Unauthorized charges and refunds problems; multiple mentions of being charged after cancellation or without consent.
  • App often fails to function: cannot read scanned books, cannot process or add books, or download content.
  • Poor or non-existent customer support and dispute resolution; difficulty contacting support; frequent refund resistance.
  • Limited features and compatibility issues: Kindle integration not supported; device compatibility problems (e.g., iPhone 15) and scanning-by-page workflow frustrations

I purchased a years subscription and then didn’t use it because I couldn’t get my kindle books in here. That changed and now I can listen to my books but I can’t change the voice. I’m seem to be stuck with 2 male voices during, one not bad and I can deal with but the other is creepy and the 2 voices change with each section. Not each chapter but each section that Peech chooses to break down. Going back to Chirp (free) I get free or great deals on books. I think Audible is even better for the cost. I read or listen to about 300 books a year. I don’t use Text to speech for anything else.

Great app in theory and it was working great. I signed up for the monthly premium subscription and I’m only a few days in and it tells me I’ve run out of credits. I paid for the monthly premium subscription. Why do I now have to pay for credit credits to listen as much as I wanna listen I paid for the monthly subscription. Don’t be scammed. I’ll be canceling this subscription because clearly paying a monthly subscription isn’t enough!
