How it works and permissions: Download the app, create your account, find and unlock a Beam nearby, check local road rules, and enjoy the ride. The extension uses Location to locate nearby Beam vehicles and parking guidance, Camera to scan QR codes and parking photos, Bluetooth to rent/return devices, and Service notifications for updates. Optional Marketing Notifications can be enabled for promos. Beam helps cities flow better, together.

However, reviews repeatedly mention billing problems (charges for rides not taken, duplicate or ongoing charges after cancellation), unreliable scooters (stopping mid-ride, slow speeds, or getting stuck), unresponsive customer support, payment/app glitches (broken payment options, 'fail to process' errors), and limited availability (restricted zones and limited hours). These recurring issues overshadow the otherwise positive setup and ride experience.

Recent reviews

Once I paid for a monthly subscription, they charged my bank, and then stopped letting me start rides. Basically stole my money. No response from support to any enquiries. How is this company allowed to be in business?
