User Reviews

Reviewers praise Unit Notes for its clean design and strong organization through a nested, unit-based structure, plus rich media support (images, files, video, links) with color-coding. The app shines offline and on mobile and is praised as versatile and not bloated. Common concerns focus on cross-platform gaps (Windows/macOS) and some workflow friction (steps to access features and hashtag navigation). Occasional bugs are noted, but overall enthusiasm is high for a powerful, flexible notes solution.
Pros
  • Intuitive, clean design that makes organizing notes and tasks easy.
  • Powerful hierarchical structure with nesting units, easy moves, and batch actions.
  • Rich content support with inline images, files, videos, links, and color-coded tags.
  • Mobile-first, offline-capable experience that works well on the go.
  • Versatile and not bloated; suitable for a wide range of use cases (notes, to-dos, school, work).
Cons
  • Limited cross-platform support; Windows/macOS integration is lacking and users want web access or a Mac app.
  • Some usability friction; funneling to features can require extra steps, and navigation/hashtag flow could be smoother.

I have been trying to contact customer support multiple time and in multiple ways. Unfortunately I haven’t received a response. I will not renew my subscription. I have an easy but important question to ask.

I was using the normal notes app on iphone and I was thinking “ shi, I want to put notes in notes” so I looked for a notes app that would let me do that and this app does literally exactly that, and more stuff I didn’t even consider. It’s so clutch i’m so grateful I found this

I like the over all design of this app but it seems to take too many steps to get to some features. It still has some kinks to work out including #hashtags and overall flow. Just going through the demo, I used 80 Elements of the 500, so you can expect to pay monthly or annually for this app. I will keep an eye on this as I could see this in my workflow. They also need an HTML website to access the content when I work on Windows.
