Features & Capabilities

GO FRIEND is a Chrome extension that helps you find trainers for Invitation Raid Battles worldwide. It uses the Invitation Raid BBS to post raids, recruit guests, and coordinate participation across the globe.

Hosts can post raids by tapping the + button, provide raid details and recruitment targets, approve guest requests, and invite participants to join. Guests can search active raids, tap ENTRY to join, copy the host's friend code, send a friend request, and wait for an invitation to participate in the raid.

User Reviews

GO FRIEND is praised for fast, convenient raid matching and easy hosting, helping users quickly assemble raid groups and build a large network. However, several recurring issues undermine reliability: invites/attendance are inconsistent, accounts can be banned without clear reasons, paid plugs lead to wasted money with poor refunds, support is poor or absent, and various bugs/crashes disrupt the experience. Overall, it’s useful for raiding but risky due to trust, support, and stability concerns.
Pros
  • Fast and convenient raid matching – find or join raids quickly.
  • Effective hosting and coordination – can run multiple raids successfully.
  • Expands your raid network by adding many friends and participants.
  • Viewed by some users as a better option than alternatives like Poke Genie.
Cons
  • Invites and raid attendance are unreliable; raids often donill or participants fail to show.
  • Accounts can be banned or given limited functionality with little explanation.
  • Purchases (plugs) can be wasteful and refunds/support are problematic.
  • Customer support is often unresponsive and there is no in-app chat support.
  • Technical problems such as crashes, blank screens, or buggy raid ratings hinder use.

The app was good at first. But now it’s just giving me a full screen of error codes and won’t let me do anything

I don’t rate apps often but I feel like when you use an app that takes time investment like Pokémon GO, the support apps you choose to use matter a lot. I’ve been using the app the past 13 days and I’ll say it is a great app for raids. However today my account was surprisingly restricted without an explanation provided. Although I did submit an appeal, it doesn’t seem like if there is an issue you’re not readily able to email or contact support to resolve it. I’m not sure what the issue could have been for the restriction. But for it to happen during the anniversary special and have no way of knowing what I did wrong or how long it takes to resolve the issue I think is worth mentioning.
