I use TrainPal whenever I can to get the cheapest ticket prices. The split ticket feature helps keep my costs down. The options of different train lines is nice too. I’ve even used the bus option to get a cheap bus to and from London.

The app charges you 100% more than just buying tickets at the station. Plus you can’t always collect the tickets at the station when you arrive due to the station’s rules. So I spent 32 pounds for two tickets that I couldn’t collect, then just spent 13 pounds for two tickets at the station. Then they refuse to refund.
