User Reviews

Users love Gym Day for tracking progress, customization, and a straightforward interface with a one-time purchase option. The main drawbacks are a preference against in-app purchases, potential license repurchase when switching from Android to iPhone, and a limited built-in exercise library prompting user-created content. Overall, it’s valued for motivation and control but could improve on licensing continuity and exercise variety.
Pros
  • Strong progress tracking and statistics that motivate users by showing history and gains
  • High customization: create your own workouts and exercises, add supersets, timers, and adapt plans to available equipment
  • One-time purchase / lifetime membership with no ongoing subscription
  • Intuitive, simple UI with reliable performance and ongoing updates/bug fixes
  • CSV export of logs (Excel-friendly) for external analysis
Cons
  • In-app purchases for features are a deterrent for some users
  • Cross-platform licensing issue: Android purchases don’t transfer to iPhone, potentially requiring repurchase
  • Limited built-in exercise library leads users to frequently create their own exercises to fill gaps

I workout with bands and free weights. I love the ability to track workouts with this app

I’ve been using this app for a while now. I’ve tried many other apps and this is one of the best ones for freedom. I can create the plans I want. They have every option to customize it how I need it. They also let you add new exercises they don’t have listed. And once you get a taste of the freedom this allows, you can’t use any other app.
