Into Thin Air 2

“Into Thin Air 2” is the first virtual public art project in Vietnam, initiated and curated by Manzi Art Space with a view to building awareness and appreciation for art – particularly contemporary art – among the public to help artists develop independent practices whilst encouraging their involvement in social development within the current context of Vietnam.

Into Thin Air 2 takes art and creativity outside of its conventional comfort zones (i.e. the museum, gallery, art space etc.) and into public spaces.

Into Thin Air 2 includes a series of virtual artworks (virtual installations, performances, soundwalks and video arts) which exist permanently in 10 of Hanoi’s public spaces. Audience can view/ interact with a given artwork through a free online application using augmented reality (AR) technology which can be downloaded to their phone or tablet. All artworks exist virtually yet are only accessible at a particular site.

Into Thin Air 2 app is an enthralling, engaging app which is completely free and accessible for every smart phone user. This project looks to promote the diversity of cultural expression to reiterate the importance of creating an environment that encourages individuals and society as a whole to get access to and enjoy a wide range of cultural activities.

“Into Thin Air 2” là dự án nghệ thuật công cộng dài hạn do không gian nghệ thuật Manzi khởi xướng và giám tuyển với mục tiêu góp phần tăng cường nhận thức và sự trân trọng đối với nghệ thuật của công chúng, hỗ trợ nghệ sĩ phát triển các thực hành độc lập đồng thời khuyến khích sự tham gia của họ vào tiến trình phát triển xã hội trong bối cảnh hiện nay của Việt Nam.

Into Thin Air 2 mang nghệ thuật ra khỏi lãnh địa quen thuộc - bảo tàng, galleries, không gian nghệ thuật … ra không gian công cộng;

Into Thin Air 2 mà các bạn đang có trong tay này được Manzi phối hợp cùng ADT Creative thực hiện, gồm 10 tác phẩm đa dạng từ sắp đặt, trình diễn, âm thanh tới video art, diễn ra tại 10 không gian công cộng của Hà Nội. Tại các không gian này, vào mọi thời điểm, khán giả đều có thể trải nghiệm các tác phẩm qua một ứng dụng miễn phí sử dụng công nghệ tăng cường thực tế ảo (AR) dù các tác phẩm không hiện hữu một cách vật lý tại địa điểm.

Ứng dụng Into Thin Air 2 cho điện thoại thông minh và máy tính bảng này cũng sẽ giúp chỉ dẫn cho công chúng tìm được tác phẩm trong lòng Hà Nội.

Into Thin Air 2 là một ứng dụng vô cùng thú vị, mang tính tương tác và hoàn toàn miễn phí cho người sử dụng.

Into Thin Air 2 hy vọng thúc đẩy sự đa dạng về biểu đạt văn hóa, tạo môi trường khuyến khích công chúng tiếp cận và thưởng thức các hoạt động văn hóa khác nhau .
