User Reviews

Users praise SIG BDX for solid hardware integration and ease of use, with accurate rangefinding and practical field usefulness. However, repeated issues include a ballistic calculator limited to ~800 yards, with few atmospheric inputs and missing scope height, barometric pressure, and humidity; unreliable Bluetooth pairing/discovery; slow streaming and readability problems; bugs like export mismatches and opaque firmware notes; and sparse updates for new calibers alongside mixed support. DRM-style reconnection requirements also affect reliability. Many users want Apple Watch support and more proactive updates to fully unlock the system's potential.
Pros
  • Easy to use and versatile once learned.
  • Accurate rangefinder integration with SIG BDX hardware and dependable ballistic solution.
  • Solid Bluetooth setup and quick syncing with the rangefinder/scopes.
  • Good hardware performance for hunting/target practice.
Cons
  • Ballistic calculator limits: about 800 yards max, with limited atmospheric inputs (only temp and altitude); missing barometric pressure, humidity, and scope height; many calibers unsupported.
  • Bluetooth connectivity and pairing instability (discovery issues, occasional crashes).
  • Performance/UX issues: slow live streaming, latency, hard-to-read UI (fonts/colors), and bugs like export mismatch.
  • Sparse updates and weaker support for new calibers; some reports say the app isn’t actively maintained.
  • DRM-style access requires periodic reconnection (every 60 days), reducing reliability.
Recent reviews
Time is off by about 13 hours on the monocular and the only way to sync it is through the app. Called customer service and was told they’re aware and engineers are working on it and just wait for a possible update with no time frame. Not sure why it can’t be fixed for such an expensive piece of equipment.

I love the combo and have no issues at all. Only wish there was more options for ballistics instead of having to enter in the caliber and all the info. I mainly use a 300 PRC and 450 BM.

The app is awful compared to others like AGM and ATN. The live stream feature needs work. It’s slow and unreliable.
