AtomicClock: NTP Time

Precision clock reference

Features & Capabilities

AtomicClock displays the exact current time sourced from trusted NTP servers in a clear, customizable clock view. It serves as a reliable reference for setting watches, verifying timestamps, timing moments, or comparing local time with network time. You can pick a public time server or add your own, and display time in the format that fits your workflow.

Features include an analog clock with a fluid second hand, multiple clock faces, local time and UTC views, 12/24-hour modes, and customizable time formats. An audible ticking and access to the Greenwich Time Signal enhance precision guidance. Note that AtomicClock references network time without altering your device’s system clock.

User Reviews

Users value AtomicClock for precise NTP time and rich customization, with strong daily usefulness for calibrating watches. The main drawback across reviews is intrusive advertising: banner and full-page ads, trial versions, and aggressive ad tactics that can render the app unusable. A subset notes occasional issues with pro upgrades or payments. Overall sentiment centers on solid timekeeping and features marred by monetization-focused UX.
Pros
  • Precise timekeeping with NTP and support for multiple time servers, delivering very high accuracy (even to 1/100 second).
  • Rich, customizable clock designs and display options that users find appealing and versatile.
  • Very useful for calibrating and setting watches/clocks on a daily basis, including astronomical timing use.
  • One-time, non-subscription purchase for pro features (deemed good value by users).
Cons
  • Intrusive advertising: banners and full-page ads that cover the clock and degrade readability.
  • Trial/free versions that are unusable due to ads; ads interrupt core functionality before purchase.
  • Aggressive ad tactics, including misleading prompts or pushes to click ads and update prompts.
  • Some users report instability upgrading to pro or paying through certain accounts; ad-driven monetization as the main friction.

I purchased this app to use on the top of my phone while I’m in the background working and I’m not able to do that. I got a unprofessional message from one of the developer, which is not something of a professional company. I simply requested a refund and have not received it. I will all install your app as you requested, but please assist me with my refund.

This app has the most useful handset designs and display options for the iPhone. I use it to gauge timekeeping for all my watches. And I use it in conjunction with the Clockwave and Junghans apps for setting radio-controlled watches. atomic-clock apps I’ve seen for iPhones. I use this many times every day. It’s a keeper!!!

Being able to sync with different time servers is a great feature. This makes setting watches for a synced time very easy! The unlock for premium gives a lot of options. Simple and clean with many options to customize.
