User Reviews

Users praise OneCast for cross‑device streaming, a smoother UI than Xbox’s site, and generally solid remote play, especially on Apple TV and iPhone/iPad/MacBook. The seven‑day free trial is a frequent plus. Key drawbacks repeatedly mentioned are lag/latency and reliability issues during streaming, sign‑in/login problems and random disconnects, bugs introduced by updates including crashes and boot loops, concerns about pricing/subscription, and some titles (e.g., GTA Online) not being reliably supported.
Pros
  • Cross-device compatibility including iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Apple TV (works across multiple devices)
  • Improved UI/UX and faster loading than Xbox site with features like rumble support
  • Free seven-day trial and generally good value for money
  • Smooth remote play on supported setups (e.g., Xbox Series X with Backbone)
Cons
  • Lag/latency and frequent lag spikes during remote play
  • Frequent sign-in/login failures and random disconnects
  • Update-induced bugs, crashes, and boot loops after newer versions
  • Pricing concerns and issues with the subscription model/trial availability
  • Game compatibility limitations for some titles (e.g., GTA Online)

This app is a must for anyone who remote plays their Xbox to their iPhone. It has a much better user interface than anything Microsoft offers, higher resolution, and more options to customize screen, size and resolution, depending on your connection. Love this app!

I’ve had this app for a couple of years now, and it has improved a lot! If you can’t figure out how to use it with the instructions provided, maybe watch a YouTube video or something. Leaving a one-star review because you can’t figure out how to use the app is ridiculously idiotic. Anyway, since XBPlay sold out, this is the only app left, and it’s been wonderful. Thank you, guys (or guy?)! Keep up the great work.
