The GiveMeGreen! app allows you to be automatically detected up to 300 feet in advance of an intersection.

How to get more green lights on your ride:

Start the app before you ride
Ride towards an equipped intersection
Voila! Light turns or stays green

Features: • Get or extend a crossing signal without ever having to press the bike/pedestrian crossing button • If present, bicycle crossing signs are triggered to alert drivers

GiveMeGreen! functionality is currently available at select intersections in Santa Clarita, CA and Fort Wayne, IN. Contact your local traffic agency to request GiveMeGreen! for your area.

Note: GPS and Bluetooth are required for the app to function properly.

While it is nice to not push buttons, that about the only advantage here. The signal acknowledges me within 10feet of the button, not 300 feet. The app says I can order a “Bluetooth scanner” but does not take me to any website to allow me to purchase a device or give any info on what the device does. I would like to get the scanner of it allows the signal to acknowledge me 300 feet away and let the app run in the background. The developer website also doesn’t give any info on the scanner.
