I have the RM4 mini, I can only set it up through the broadlink app and it will show in ihc but I when I try to control my devices it shows “sending ir code failed”. Please update the app to meet the new devices because ihc is the only one that works with google home, the broadlink connection has refused to work and I cannot unlink it.

The app is ok, but could be a lot more user friendly, and I mean A LOT. First of all. The European version is not (anymore / yet) compatible with Google Home, despite the advertisements. That’s annoying, because that’s the reasong I’d bought the device in the first place. Fortunately there’s a workaround for this. Change to US app store and download the US version. Second. Installing devices. What’s nice to know, but what you don’t read in the advertisements, is that you can only use voice commands if the device is listed as “official brand partnership”. Not all devices are that. If you have a device that’s nog official brand partnership, you can’t use voicecommands directly. But there’s a workaround. Create scenes and activate these scenes by using Google Home custom routines (only available when settings of Google Home are US English and Region is USA, even if you’re outside the US!) Third. You can teach the device every signal, but you have to do this one by one. Downside is that you can’t change the remote layout in the app. Suggestion for the developer to make this customisable. That will greatly improve the user experience.
