Users broadly rate Gen Con's app as unreliable and difficult to use during the event. Repeated issues include slow performance, crashes, and server strain, making access to schedules and maps frustrating. Map and navigation problems (orientation, lag, search glitches) compound the difficulty of finding places. Scheduling is hampered by the inability to add non-ticketed events or use wishlists, plus inconsistent filtering. Ticketing flow is mixed—some report quick in-app purchases, others report delays or no in-app option. Positive notes center on the Schedule tab’s usefulness and the existence of event information within the app.

Pros

Schedule tab is a strength; quick to view and navigate the schedule and locate exhibitors (as noted by reviews 15 and 16).
The app provides useful Gen Con event information (some users find the content valuable).
In-app ticket purchases can be fast for some users (e.g., checkout in under 5 minutes).

Recent reviews

Attempted to sign up for events twice now on two seperate releases, both times it was so glitchy that the app never actually let me sign up. Also never knew about wish lists, so priority went somewhere I couldn’t control. I feel jaded
