Features & Capabilities

One Deck Dungeon is a fast, roguelike dungeon crawl designed for 1-2 players. Using a single deck of cards and dice, players roll to fill boxes, learn new talents, and tackle five deadly challenges. Quick sessions (~15 minutes) keep the action tight and replayability high as you optimize your hero between runs.

Expansions like Forest of Shadows and Abyssal Depths add new heroes, dungeons, and encounters, including a 44-card encounter deck and additional progression options. Officially licensed from Asmadi Games, this bite-sized dungeon crawl delivers accessible, strategic fun for casual and veteran players alike.

User Reviews

Overall, players praise One Deck Dungeon for its deep, variable solo roguelike feel and value, with expansions boosting replay. However, they repeatedly report critical issues that hinder enjoyment: progress not saving between sessions, an aging UI, dice-driven difficulty that can feel unbalanced or punishing, crashes after updates, and concerns over representation with all-female characters. Stability and UX improvements are repeatedly requested to unlock the game’s full potential.
Pros
  • Deep, varied solo roguelike gameplay with dice-driven decisions that feel different each run.
  • Quick, satisfying single-player experience suitable for short sessions.
  • Strong value for money with base game and expansions offered at a low price.
  • Polished core mechanics and ongoing developer support and updates.
  • Expansions and multiple heroes add replay value for many players.
Cons
  • Progression save issues: progress is not saved between launches.
  • UI/UX feels dated and not fluid; aesthetics are outdated and hinder usability.
  • Dice mechanics can feel unbalanced or overly punishing.
  • Crashes/black screen after updates affect play sessions.
  • Representation concerns: all characters are female, which some players find off-putting.

If you can’t say your progression, what is the point of the iOS?

I spent 11$ for game and every expansion, I wish I didn’t. UI looks so aged and unappealing, that I just can’t enjoy it much. It looks like websites from 90s. I wish it has better design, now it looks so cheap and outdated. I understand that art is bad thanks to original board game, but everything else looks even worse. I mean fonts, backgrounds, animations, sfx and everything. UI is not fluid at all. I wish it was at least Spirit Island’s level of quality. It’ll help game so much. Also I don’t see much replay value. I mean there are a lot of gameplay to unlock everything with every character, but the game’s loop becomes boring too fast, it’s all the same every run, different heroes and dungeons doesn’t help at all. I just don’t wanna play after a few games. There’re better rogue-likes which was not originally board games, just play them instead.
