User Reviews

Users praise PassWarrior for being easy to use and highly helpful for travel planning, with quick updates and MDT data consolidation (including time-lapse and plow cam). It’s especially valued by frequent travelers and high-mileage professionals and benefits from location-aware info. However, recurring issues include accuracy problems (misreported conditions and wrong highway labeling), confusing color coding, occasional bugs, and feature gaps in certain areas. Overall it’s a solid road-conditions tool with notable room for reliability and data-coverage improvements.
Pros
  • Easy to use, with a simple and intuitive UI
  • Very useful for travel and pre-trip planning/road checks
  • Consolidates MDT information in one place and includes features like time lapse and plow cam
  • Location-aware updates that prioritise information near you
  • Valuable for professionals with high mileage (drivers, techs) and well-regarded by users
Cons
  • Accuracy issues: inconsistent road conditions and misreporting accidents, including wrong East/West labeling on highways
  • Color scheme too similar for different conditions; requests for clearer symbols
  • Bugs and reliability concerns affecting performance
  • Missing data/features in some areas (e.g., cameras/RWIS in Wolf Point or other locations)
  • Perceived year-to-year fluctuations in accuracy (some users notice it’s less accurate this year)

We are using this app daily, and we find that it does not reflect the accurate condition of the highway we travel. Last night for example, the app said scattered ice and snow. The highway was completely covered with ice and then it snowed on the ice, so it was a complete white out. There was also a terrible accident on the highway, emergency vehicle including EMT, police were at the accident. The app never reported the accident at all. This accident was out west on Highway 2 about 22 miles from Kalispell, 11/20/2024 Why do you keep on listing accidents on US Highway 2 West as happening on U.S. Highway 2 East. This has happened multiple times. There is a difference between these locations. Your app is not accurate. 12/30/24 You are still reporting accidents on Highway 2 East when they they are REALLY on Highway 2 west. There is an entire city that separates Highway 2 East and west.
