Features & Capabilities

One reverb, three algorithms: the classic ADverb plate, a slick modern ambience, and a huge, smooth hall. 100 presets and a five-minute learning curve.

ADverb2 is our love letter to the golden age of studio reverb: a small handful of controls, a big friendly panel, and a sound that flatters everything you run through it. Version 2.3 grows it from one algorithm into three.

PLATE is the original ADverb algorithm, a classic digital plate with the fast build-up and silky decay that made these boxes famous. It remains untouched, and your old presets load exactly as before.

AMBIENCE is a modern, airy space. It adds air and dimension around a source without an obvious tail at short settings, and blooms into a long, weightless wash when you push the time out. Time-varying early energy keeps it from ever sounding static.

HALL is a large concert space, exceptionally smooth and very wide, with slow internal motion that keeps long decays lush instead of metallic.

All three algorithms share the same simple control set: Pre-Delay, Reverb Time, Size, low and high Contour switches, Rolloff, and Diffusion, plus input level and output mix. The Input Mute and Reverb Stop kill switches let you perform with the reverb, choking the send or the tail on the beat. Mix Lock keeps your wet/dry setting pinned while you audition presets, ideal when ADverb2 sits on a send.

Version 2.3 also brings our system-wide preset browser with folders and favorites, a hundred factory presets covering everything from drum plates to nine-second ambient washes, preset stepping right from the main panel, and presets that show up in your host's own preset menu.

ADverb2 is an AUv3 Audio Unit and runs in any AUv3 host, including GarageBand and Logic Pro. The interface is fully resizable and scales to fit your device.

For the few instances you can actually get it to work the plugin delivers. However, for the the other times you need it crashes your session. Very disappointed with this bug it seems to have

I’ve purchased all of the AudioDamage AU’s for iOS and they are all brilliant. For the price of one overblown “artist signature”plugin on desktop you could buy all of the iOS AudioDamage AU’s and still have enough dough for a sammich. ADverb really captures that ‘80’s reverb sound of units like the Lexicon PCM’s & the early Yamaha SPX90; very ‘digital’ but in a good way. There’s a sheen and bite that digital plate reverbs have that AudioDamage has totally nailed. If you play synths predominantly and produce EDM & other types of electronic music then this reverb will fit the bill and then some. Highly recommended.
