User Reviews

The Western Kosher app is easy to use and fast, with handy features like favorites and searchable listings plus responsive support. However, recurring issues hinder the experience: confusing delivery options, limited item details, frequent mobile stability problems, and gaps between store inventory and what’s shown in the app (including missing gluten-free options). Addressing information completeness, reliability, and clear delivery choices would improve user satisfaction.
Pros
  • Easy to use and fast; generally reliable performance.
  • Remembers favorites and offers useful search by sale or food type with realistic photos.
  • Helpful customer service via phone or email; staff are friendly and responsive.
  • Convenient during the pandemic for ordering without visiting the store; solid selection and occasional sales.
Cons
  • Delivery/pickup options are confusing (FedEx vs local pickup); users want a clear, separate dropdown for delivery method.
  • Incomplete product information (few photos, limited ingredients/descriptions; occasional recipe links) across items.
  • Mobile navigation and app stability issues (crashes, freezes, needing reboots) and unclear takeout quantities.
  • Inventory gaps (not all store items appear in the app; gluten-free options often missing; some items require using search or calling in).

The FedEx delivery part of the app is very confusing and if it wasn’t explained to me in the store I would have never been able to figure it out. Needs a separate drop down box like 3 “ pickup, local delivery, or fed ex delivery”

I love the app. It remembers my favorites; allows to search by sale or type of food; the search is decent and the pictures are pretty realistic. My only complaints are where information is lacking: lack of photo; & rarely a hint much less a list of ingredients or even a description of food item (not all grew up with same cultural background & thus exposure same foods..). ONCE, I saw a recipe with links to ingredients- I was so excited! And generally if you are nice to employees by phone or email- they are helpful in return.. B’hatzlacha.
