App asks for model number, can't find it on the box or device, ask for 6 digit serial number and the device number is 7 digit

Open app and it just tells me to set up my communicator. Communicator works fine. It interrogated my device and sent. App just keeps telling me to set up communicator. None of help pages load. App is useless.
