Total Destruction: Mayhem is an offline physics destruction sandbox where everything can be demolished—from buildings and trees to ships, vehicles, and entire cities. Command 75 war machines, including tanks, helicopters, fighter jets, artillery, warships, and nuclear weapons. Create massive explosions, trigger chain reactions, watch structures collapse, and send ships to the ocean floor.

Customize weapons and destruction settings in Sandbox mode, or use the vehicle editor to design and upgrade your own tanks, aircraft, and war machines. Take on 70 campaign missions across deserts, jungles, arctic zones, night cities, and open seas while battling infantry, enemy armor, drones, air defenses, and destroyers. Daily challenges, boss encounters, special weapons, and achievements add even more ways to play.

While yes all of the new particle and flame effects are eye appealing the game has completely forgone its destruction aspect in favor of vehicle balance. Originally a single rocket or shell could level entire buildings, destroy 3 enemies, or clear areas of infantry, but now it takes several seconds of sustained fire to destroy a measly car on the path. Not to mention all of the quality of life features that have been stripped from the game. As much as I used to love this game I can’t be bothered to put up with these updates that make the combat a further slog.
