User Reviews

Cooklist offers strong pantry management, meal planning, and cross-store shopping-list features, but users repeatedly report stability and billing problems, along with weak store integrations and customer support. When functioning, it saves time for busy households, but ongoing bugs and pricing concerns overshadow its benefits.
Pros
  • Pantry inventory tracking and organization.
  • Robust meal planning features that help plan meals around recipes.
  • Shopping list creation with store integrations and export options (e.g., Walmart app).
  • Easy import/organization of recipes from various sources.
  • Simple, streamlined interface that saves time for busy families.
Cons
  • Billing and pricing issues: misleading free trial, being charged after cancellation, and overall subscription cost.
  • Frequent bugs and crashes, plus unreliable syncing of lists.
  • Store integration problems, such as Kroger linking not working.
  • Poor customer support and difficulty contacting the company.
  • AI bot dependency causing navigation frustrations or poor UX.

I really want to like Cooklist. I downloaded it several months ago but canceled the subscription when it wouldn’t connect with Fred Meyer. Earlier this week, it appeared to connect, it’s hit and miss, mainly the shopping list wouldn’t connect. For day to day, I am trying to use it, it’s jumbled and confusing, what you have, what you don’t. When cooking a recipe it gives you alternate options of items in your pantry but not volume to use when it is a different product. I cooked a recipe for the second time tonight, knowing I needed to make adjustments from the first time. When I went to edit the recipe I found I can’t. I have to make a copy (remix) and edit that, and then go back and delete the original, make it make sense!

I love the concept of this app, but it is currently unusable for me. My Sam's Club account is permanently stuck on "syncing," which breaks the main pantry tracking features. I reached out to customer support via email two days ago to get this resolved, but I have not received a single response. Please fix this retail integration and improve your support response times! Appreciate it. Also, want to clarify this app is great, but this issue has stopped me from using it. Thank you.
