For richer footage, use Record MultiCam to capture additional angles; your iPhone video is saved and stitched into TraceCam footage to create epic highlights.

Trace Teams offers a unique AI-driven highlights system with player focus and zoom, plus easy sharing. However, repeated bugs, slow performance, unreliable AI, hardware issues, poor support, and UX annoyances significantly hinder usability. Improvements in reliability, support, and casting/TV integration are needed to realize its market promise.

Unique AI-driven highlights system with player-focused features (circle emphasis) and PlayerCam zoom.
Highlights are easy to create and can be shared with family.
Market-leading concept with nothing else like it.

Cons

Frequent bugs, slow downloads, and difficult navigation.
AI features are unreliable: misidentifications, inconsistent highlights, and poor video quality.
Cameras sometimes fail and cannot start new games or add cameras.
Poor customer support and billing issues (AI bot support, cancellations, refunds).
Casting to TV not working and app behavior redirects to the website; heavy upgrade prompts.

Recent reviews

It needs to show progress of uploaded files at the very least. On the home page it will just say waiting for file to upload. The system should know the file is uploading and how far along it is.

Trace will lose your camera footage without explanation and just apologize. The tech is not as advertised and better videos and analytics are available on Veo. You will try to create your own highlights and the screen will just pause and start shaking. DO NOT TRUST YOUR KIDS MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS WITH THIS SUB PAR TECHNOLOGY.
