User Reviews

User reviews consistently praise NaadSadhana for its AI-driven accompaniment, extensive raag/taal library, and robust practice tools, especially the recording/sharing workflow and ear-training workouts. However, several recurring concerns include instrument timbre realism, some users finding the latest UI challenging to navigate and limited instrument-level volume control, and the lack of seamless DAW/inter-app audio integration. Overall, it's highly valued by students and performers with room for audio realism, UI finesse, and cross-app workflow enhancements.
Pros
  • Realistic AI-driven accompaniment with a broad instrument library (tanpura, swaramandal, tablas) and automatic adaptation to raag/taal.
  • Excellent recording, mixing, and sharing capabilities, including in-app recording, custom mixes, and export of clean audio.
  • Strong ear training and workouts (swaram recognition, pitch training, tuners) with adjustable pitch on all instruments.
  • Versatile for practice, performance, and content creation across voice, instrumental, and whistling use cases; supports karaoke-like features and songbook.
  • Responsive developer support and ongoing updates that expand features and improve sound quality.
Cons
  • Some instrument sounds could be more natural; some users prefer other apps for timbre and would like different instrument options.
  • Mixed UI experiences: some users praise the UI, while others report a labyrinth-like new UI and limited per-instrument volume control.
  • Lack of seamless DAW/inter-app audio integration (Inter App Audio/AUv3) making it harder to record with other apps or in a DAW.

We are a mixed household with an even more diverse group of friends. Some trained musicians and some here for the pure joy of singing. Together we sing Bollywood, English pop, Punjabi, Ghazal and kirtan. Naadsadhna is one app that holds it together beautifully. The percussion range of Tabla, Cajon and Drums makes the feel like live orchestra which goes with every kind of song plus there are beats/taal in every raag possible. I have lost the count of how many fun evenings we have had with this app. And then there is Sandeep, I wrote him an email with suggestions expecting nothing. He wrote back a few minutes later explaining his thinking around product development and we had such a meaningful conversation. This kind of warmth between creator and users is so rare today. If your family, friends or you love music in any form I would highly recommend Naadsadhna.

I’ve been super excited by the possibilities ever since I discovered NaadSadhana. I happened to watch a video where Sandeep Ranade introduces the app and its features. It showed up as a YouTube recommendation and I was instantly intrigued. Once I tried it, I couldn’t be happier. This is exactly what I had been looking for! I primarily use the app as sruthi backing for my whistling. So far, I’ve been using the tanpura and swaramandal extensively. I’m still exploring the percussion instruments. I also use the notes training as often as I can. With whistling, it is very easy to go sharper or flatter than intended, so no amount of practice ever feels excessive. The ear training is extremely helpful and reinforces swara recognition really well for students both old and new. The recording & mixing feature is excellent, the flexibility it offers is impressive. You can custom mix tracks and export clean, raw audio files to use outside the app & this opens up a whole new world of possibilities for creators I am sure. The engineering brilliance & creative intelligence powering the app is remarkable. GeekGayak is probably the absolute best way to describe it :) Kudos to that geekiness. The raaga and taal library in the app is extensive. Based on the style of music you choose, the app also automatically adapts the available instruments, which is a great touch. I do wonder if there might be room for some user-level customization in a future release. I may have missed mentioning a few things (I probably did), but if you’re a music enthusiast at any level, you should definitely give this app a try. ———- Updating my rating in March 2026 ❤️🙏 Have been super happy & impressed by the practicality & flexibility not to mention the brilliant artistic intelligence ❤️🎶🙏 Thank you 😍🙏👍
