classic is a very simple and easy to use Music Player App for Chrome. It helps you quickly find music in both English and Japanese, including Hiragana, with an option to choose between Japanese-first or English-first ordering and customizable tabs.

It supports playing songs directly from the list, on-screen lyrics, and standard controls like play, shuffle, and repeat. Background playback can be enabled, and you can send feature requests through the in-app inquiry form. More features are on the way.

iOS’s native music app won’t sort Japanese properly when the device language is English, but I can’t change my device language, because my husband and kids don’t speak Japanese. I was tearing my hair out getting ready to romanize my entire library just so I can use the alphabet scrolling, but this fixes my issue. Dev, I am giving you a big smoochie. Also, this still works great in 2026 if you’re skeptical of the last time it’s been updated. Thank you. THANK YOU.
