The app is easy for basic Bluetooth control of colors, dimming and grouping fixtures after a short tutorial, but is plagued by stability and connectivity problems. Major missing features and rough UI hinder day-to-day use, including no saveable fixed colors, no access to built-in patterns, no background operation, and limited iPad landscape support. Preset management is buggy, and long-term updates are sparse. Overall, usable for light tasks but not a reliable professional tool.

Ability to group fixtures for simultaneous control
Simple, straightforward UX for basic tasks (especially after tutorial)

Cons

Frequent crashes and overall instability; reported crashes up to 80% of the time
Bluetooth connectivity issues: weak signal, frequent disconnections and difficult pairing
Missing essential features: cannot save fixed colors or presets; cannot access built-in fade/chase programs; cannot run in background
UI/UX and preset management bugs: problems with drag/drop presets and color selection/palette mismatches
Limited OS/iPad support and long gaps between app updates; not updated for latest iOS versions

1 Star BC the app is so old and buggy. Please update the app and fix all the bugs. I love the BT Features but the app is always bugging out and constantly stuck on “Pairing in Progress..” even when I have tried multiple devices. I have the uprights and the bar. If you’re going to continue to sell the BT line please stay up to date on the App. 4 years since an update is not doing your clients justice for the ones who rely on these for every event. 5 stars for the product. Make the app just as good! Thank you!

I have called Chauvet tech support. Was on the phone over an hour. Tried everything he suggested. I have an IPhone 14 pro max. The app can NOT find the lights. The tech then suggested that the lights might be bad. They are brand new. Not buying that. I can run them manually. But the app does not work.
