User Reviews

Users repeatedly point to steep value from the subscription, frequent disconnections, and stability issues. The app's shift from random matchmaking to friend-only play, plus privacy concerns from camera/contacts requirements, is also widely disliked. Content offerings are limited: few genres and a repetitive song library with little new material. However, the core concept—an easy, fun song-quiz with a social, party-game angle—still resonates when the app works. Until issues are resolved (pricing, connectivity, and content), overall sentiment remains negative, though the idea has potential.

Pros

  • Fun and entertaining song-quiz concept with simple, easy-to-learn gameplay.
  • Nostalgic appeal of the original Song Quiz helps keep the concept engaging.
  • Social/multiplayer potential to play with friends adds a party-game vibe.

Cons

  • High subscription price (around $12.99/month) with perceived low value.
  • Frequent disconnections when notifications arrive or when the app switches away, making rejoining difficult.
  • General instability: glitches, crashes, no sound, mic issues, and login/signup loops.
  • Major gameplay changes: removal of random matchmaking/solo play and requirement to play with friends plus privacy concerns (camera/contacts).
  • Limited content library: few genres, repetitive songs, and lack of newer music; not enough variety.

Hi My Daughter and I really love this game but unfortunately I have games on my mobile app on my iPhone 16 Pro Max that I don’t have on the TV for example sketchy AF there are other missing games as well spot on, with end,. We really loved the game, but we want to be able to play the other games on the TV..

The premise of the game is fun and it’s fun when it works! but you’d think for $15 a month all of the bugs would be worked out. The game would constantly freeze and crash out mid game, or say everyone’s answers were correct for final jeopardy when no one’s answers were right at all :/
