Dwell: Audio Bible

This app has helped me more regularly engage in the word of God and I love how it is a great way to let the word of Christ well and me richly!

I’ve sent this to Devs already. Hopefully can be fixed soon. When I'm listening to scripture, before the update, the background music would play all the way through and go to the next one like normal. The music being played wouldn't stop with that particular scripture. For example, before the update, I could listen to Psalm 119 to Psalm 125. Lets say I have it on Ambient and Dwell is playing in the background. It would read through 119 through 125 and the track would be consistent through all the scripture changes. This morning, I noticed that with each scripture change, the song would change when the scripture changed, so the listener doesn't get the full music track. I really noticed this when I played my favorites playlist. The scriptures are very short verses. With every verse, the track would play 2-3 seconds, move to the next scripture and song would change immediately without playing all the way through. As far as the shuffling, it seems like there's a problem with that, too. I cut off all of the other tracks just to hear certain selections. When I hit shuffle, every other track still played. I love the update and ability to choose tracks, but please please fix.

This app has become a very foundational part of my daily practices — being able to listen to their beautiful “Dwell Daily” devotional or simply listen to scripture is a true gift. The app is beautiful and has many different ways to engage with scripture. Highly recommend!
