User Reviews

RidePATH struggles with accuracy and performance. Reviewers report delays between real-time updates and actual arrivals, frequent mislabeling, and weekend-time discrepancies. The app is slow to load countdowns, clunky to navigate, and UI often blocks timetables or hides track information. Favorites can disappear after updates. Some users appreciate schedule data and weekend disruption alerts, and occasional better timing vs. Google Maps when working. Overall, reliability and usability require significant fixes.
Pros
  • Displays train schedules/departure times.
  • Can provide correct times (often better than alternatives like Google Maps).
  • Alerts for weekend disruptions.
Cons
  • Inaccurate or not timely real-time departure times.
  • Slow performance and loading times.
  • Cluttered, confusing UI/UX; hard to read; horizontal scrolling; blocked timetables.
  • Favorites feature wiped/lost after updates.
  • Trains mislabeling and inconsistent times (station labels and NJ time differences).
Recent reviews
The schedules are not in real time. The Newark to WTC line is always 2–3 minutes earlier than the departure time shown in the app. It’s very frustrating if you follow the 9:59 time in the app, the last train before 10 a.m., but it actually departs at 9:56 or 9:57. Then the next train isn’t until 10:13. I don’t understand how hard it can be to keep the schedule in the app synced with the actual departure times. They constantly increase the fares but can’t even maintain a simple app properly. SMH.
