There are two categories of upgrades – Addons and Upgrades. Addons section includes various different items that automatically generate money such as New Laces or Shoe Brush. Cost of these buildings increases incrementally. The upgrades section contains upgrades to improve your clicking rate and the amount of money you generate per click.
