Chronicles of Crime digital companion brings the board game to your browser as a Chrome extension. It uses the same physical components—a board with location, character, and item cards—and adds digital depth by scanning QR codes (Scan&Play) to unlock clues and events as you investigate.

Launch scenarios, pursue clues, and uncover the killer with friends. The app includes a mobile VR experience: use the provided VR glasses and your phone to explore a virtual world and search for clues. Each session runs roughly 60–90 minutes, and updates add new, original scenarios that extend the larger mystery without needing extra physical components.

Chronicles of Crime provides a fun, social mystery experience ideal for group play, with appealing Noir expansion potential. However, recurring issues harm usability: VR mode bugs, inconsistent camera permissions, limited content with pricey DLC, and unreliable card/QR scanning. Addressing stability, expanding content, and improving scanning/camera handling would significantly improve the experience.

Not work , I can’t setup map

We really like this game, and we usually play to solve the ‘who did it’ question but we rarely win the game because there always ends up being other objectives in order to win, it changes with each case and they do not tell you what they are until the end when you make your guess. For example, we solved one and guessed correctly at the murderer but then to win they said we missed the weapon and some other objectives that were not defined at the beginning. Kind of frustrating but we still enjoy following the clues and solving the crime.
