User Reviews

User reviews repeatedly praise Hunter BTT when the app connects, noting easy setup and usefulness for managing multiple timers. However, a large share report serious reliability problems: the app frequently shows a white blank screen or crashes, Bluetooth connection is unreliable with short range, and schedules often fail to save or execute as intended. Software updates seem to worsen performance for many users, and support is perceived as limited. Overall, the hardware is appealing, but the app remains a major reliability bottleneck for most users.
Pros
  • Very easy to figure out and set up right after download.
  • When the app connects, it’s reliable and effective for watering (a lifesaver for larger gardens).
  • Can manage multiple timers/zones.
Cons
  • Frequent white screen or app crashes; the app is often unlaunchable.
  • Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable with short range and frequent disconnects.
  • Scheduling and timer settings don’t save or run as scheduled; delays and missed runs are common.
  • Software updates often degrade performance and reduce reliability.
  • Support and responsiveness from Hunter is perceived as limited or unhelpful.

Super easy to figure out just from downloading the app. So far so good this summer. I have two timers, one in the front yard and one in the back. As long as I’m connecting my phone within range, it follows my instructions.

Unfortunately the application doesn’t respond well and the updates are always delayed.

I have 2 of the 2 zone and 2 of the 1 zone devices and they are all over the place. I’ve set the times on the single timers but when I go to change the time and hit save it just goes back to the time I originally set. On the 2 zone timers it’s all waked out. They don’t even turn on unless we do it manually. The front one I just tried to set on a cycle timer, but when I tried that on the back one it doesn’t even allow me to set it. I click on the cycle and the page is blank. But most importantly they don’t even turn on and I’m tired of messing with it.
