Features & Capabilities

Steel And Flesh blends medieval 3D action and strategy in an expansive open world. You’ll clash across a map with continents and islands, controlling one of 12 clans (Roman Empire, Rus, Ottoman Empire, Golden Horde, Vikings, England, France, Germany, Poland, Empire Song, Pirates, Rebels) to conquer lands, towns, castles, villages, and ports.

Gameplay features a global map with sailing, third-person battles, cavalry, inventory management, and customization. You can be an ordinary robber or pledge to a clan and fight in large battles, with the ultimate goal of becoming king of your own realm.

User Reviews

Overall, players praise Steel And Flesh for its rich, expansive medieval gameplay and a Mount & Blade–like feel on mobile, with an engaging and addictive core. However, multiple reviews flag major drawbacks: infrequent updates and lagging feature parity with other platforms; intrusive ads and ad-reward bugs; clunky controls and lack of tutorials; concerns about asset originality and overall asset quality; and recurring balance/AI issues that make battles feel unfair or poorly tuned. Localization in several languages is requested. The game has strong potential but needs steady updates, better UI/UX, and improved balance to satisfy fans.
Pros
  • Rich, expansive gameplay with lots of features and real sense of freedom to conquer and expand.
  • Mount & Blade–style medieval warfare feel that many players find appealing on mobile.
  • Engaging, addictive mechanics and a strong core concept that keeps players coming back.
  • Themed medieval setting with land and faction dynamics that players enjoy exploring.
Cons
  • Lack of timely updates and iOS/Android update parity; long wait for new content.
  • Intrusive ads and ad rewards bugs that disrupt the experience.
  • Poor controls, clunky UI, and a steep learning curve with no tutorial.
  • Asset concerns: heavy use of Warband-era assets and perceived copyright issues, plus overall asset quality.
  • Balance and AI issues: unfair early battles, unbalanced rebels, and unresponsive AI that hinders progression.

Good game, please make a lord of the rings version! Also, please make a way where you can build additional fortifications(walls, traps, etc) and maybe buy loyalty of lords and/or ladies or kings/queens of other nations, thus gaining land through diplomacy. And DEFENITELY make a lord of the rings version! Like you can have different factions (Mordor with king Sauron, Gondor with king Aragorn, etc..)
