User Reviews

Overall the game is praised for its addictive, well-designed puzzle experience, strong visuals and sound, randomized levels for replayability, and a generous number of levels with no ads. However, several recurring issues dampen enjoyment: it lacks some basic Minesweeper features (no clear-mark tool), the flagging/placement controls are awkward and could use a tap toggle, updates and new levels are sparse, some puzzles are too easy or rely on guessing, and UI can be fiddly on large boards. Despite the cons, most reviews recommend it for Minesweeper fans seeking a twist.
Pros
  • Randomized levels for replayability, allowing daily play and new arrangements
  • Engaging, addictive puzzle experience with a clever Minesweeper twist
  • Polished visuals and sound, strong presentation
  • Large catalog of levels (roughly 185–195), offering long playtime
  • Ad-free experience with no in-app purchases or ads
Cons
  • Missing basic Minesweeper features (cannot mark a tile as clear) and gaps in core mechanics
  • Flagging/placement controls are awkward (hold-to-place; could benefit from a tap toggle)
  • Updates and new levels are sparse, leading to calls for more content
  • Some puzzles feel too easy or rely on guessing, causing inconsistent difficulty
  • UI issues on larger boards can lead to mistaps or be fiddly

I enjoy this game. I can play it on my phone or with the family. Gets everyone think together. The song gets a little repetitive…. That’s my only issue.

This game is perfect, as evidenced by the fact that it hasn’t been updated once since its release. That’s amazing, but it also makes one wonder whether new levels are forthcoming. This game gets a perfect score … but stars degrade with time. One great thing about this game is that levels are generated at random, which is fortunate, because it allows me to replay MS-1 through -5 daily. But I wish there were N, O, P, Q …

This is a great game. iPads tend to be used in landscape mode with the new keyboard and all. This game forces portrait. FAIL
