Aura shows promise with integrated metrics and a slick app when the hardware works. However, widespread durability, reliability, and support issues, plus frequent data inaccuracies and connectivity problems, lead to a largely negative overall impression and raise concerns about value for money.

Pros

When the app and device work, Aura provides informative, integrated metrics.
The strap/app combo yields measurable data and allows tracking of body composition, hydration, and other stats.
The integration between the app and device is smooth and data stays linked when functioning.
Aura provides multiple band sizes to fit, improving wearability.
The app interface is slick and user-friendly when it works.

Cons

Band durability and reliability issues (bands breaking or failing after weeks/months).
Poor customer support and a difficult return process (unresponsive, returns denied).
App stability and connectivity problems (crashes on launch, failed pairing, syncing issues).
Data accuracy problems (false detections, inconsistent or incorrect body composition readings).
Perceived value concerns due to high price and frequent reliability/support issues.

Recent reviews

I purchased the AURA Strap 2 (Order S37118). It failed with two months. I asked to exchanged the strap, and Support will not respond. The only response I have ever received from my 9 emails, is that they are out of the office and will respond to me when they return. While looking for a DIY solution I learned AURA has an unusually high, early failure rate. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

I purchased the device and downloaded the app. Pleased at first, ended up needing to use the xxl band. After minimal use the band started breaking. I reached out to support. No response after multiple emails across 3 weeks. Tried to buy replacement band, size and color sold out. Now the band has completely broke…no response from support. $160….what a waste for a couple weeks of use. While it was able to be used I did like the app/integration. Buyer beware.
