User Reviews

Reviewers praise Japanese Games: Infinite for its engaging, gamified approach that helps beginners learn basic Japanese vocabulary and numbers. The visuals and audio with kana/kanji options are appealing and approachable. However, common drawbacks include a small vocabulary pool, recurring stability bugs (progress resets, freezes), and monetization concerns (ads and inconsistent cross-device syncing for paid users). Overall, it’s fun and useful early on but needs more content and stability to satisfy longer-term learners.
Pros
  • Engaging game-like format improves motivation and retention.
  • Effective for learning basics and vocabulary; beginner-friendly and helpful for JLPT N5.
  • Appealing visuals, audio, and kana/kanji options make it accessible for beginners and kids.
Cons
  • Vocabulary is limited; users want more than the roughly 200 words currently offered.
  • Several bugs and stability issues, including progress resets and level-start freezes.
  • Ads in the free version and monetization problems, plus cross-device syncing issues with paid access.
Recent reviews
As someone who has ADHD, the basic, textbook learning apps are really draining and hard to stay motivated with and ultimately I haven’t learned as much. But with this apps game like system, I find myself very engaged and actively coming back to complete more levels!! And the learning method is fast, so I don’t lose focus and move on to something else! Very efficient too and enjoyable, I hope to learn lots more!!
