User Reviews

MemoWord is praised for flexible, customizable flashcards, Excel imports, strong organization, and on-the-go learning with audio/visual practice. Users especially value being able to create their own words and sets, search translations, and download sets. Common concerns focus on the free plan’s 100-card cap, subscription/purchase pricing and cross-device syncing, a dated UI behind paywalls, imperfect translations and TTS, and occasional reliability glitches. Overall, it’s powerful for personalized language learning but may feel restrictive or flaky for some users.
Pros
  • Create and customize your own flashcards and sets.
  • Excel import/bulk upload and easy sharing/import of sets from others.
  • Robust organization: search translations, categorize into sets, and move cards between sets.
  • Visual and auditory practice with pronunciation audio (text-to-speech).
  • Learn on the go with multi-language support and unlimited decks.
Cons
  • Free version caps at about 100 cards, with unclear warnings.
  • Premium pricing and per-device purchases; cross-device sync issues with purchases.
  • Outdated/rigid UI design and heavy paywall gating, making navigation and customization harder.
  • Translations and text-to-speech are not perfect and can be unreliable.
  • Occasional reliability issues (app not launching, dashboards not loading).
