User reviews consistently report the KS iKan app mostly fails due to UI/UX flaws, unreliable vehicle lookup, looping chatbot interactions, document upload crashes, and payment issues. A minority find it workable and time-saving when it does, but overall reliability is a major pain point.

Pros

Renewals can be quick and painless when the process works.
Saves trips to the DMV by handling registrations and payments online.
App is easy to navigate for some users and can perform core renewal tasks.
When it works, the renewal process can be time-saving.

Cons

Persistent UI/UX issues: elements hidden off-screen, back button cut off, and screens that don’t scroll properly.
Chatbot flows loop and can trigger incorrect charges, making the payment experience frustrating.
Vehicle lookup/renewal reliability is poor: the app often can’t find your vehicle or updates data incorrectly (PIN/VIN/plate).
Document upload crashes or hangs, leaving users stuck in loops.
Payment problems and limited options: credit card payments sometimes fail while eCheck works, and there are few alternative payment methods.

The app is definitely built by amateurs. Very unprofessional. It’s got really bad UI. The pay button hides below the viewport so the only way to fix that is to orient the device in landscape and then bring it back to portrait. The entire page scrolls horizontally when there is no need for it. Spacing of items is terrible. My CC payment failed for no reason but my bank echeck payment went through. Terrible experience.

When renewing motor vehicle registrations, the bot response for adding additional vehicles is mostly hidden off the right side of the screen. This makes it almost impossible to make the correct response to group all vehicles in a single transaction. Fix it!!!
