User Reviews

Users generally find the Sarasota County Libraries app easy to use with an improved, comprehensive in-app interface and convenient features like reviewing items and saving login info. The main downside is reliability: many users report the app won’t open or crashes. Additional frequent issues include lack of iPad landscape support and a redesign that some users dislike. A few reviews also mention the calendar of events feature as a plus.

Pros

Easy to use / user-friendly interface across reviews.
Improved interface with all resources accessible in-app, better than the website.
Efficient management of library items: quickly see loans, due dates, holds, and renew items.
Login information saved for convenience.

Cons

App won't open / crashes on launch reported across multiple reviews.
Lack of landscape orientation support on iPad (no landscape mode; portrait-only).
Outdated design/responsiveness on modern devices (sized for older iPhones, looks outdated).
Design changes in the new version (icons replaced with text) are disliked by some users.

Recent reviews

It would be nice if you would add the Shannon Staub Library underneath the locations button. It’s been years and it still hasn’t been added onto there. This makes it hard to search for available books at my local library.

For at least three years I have waited for this developer to enable “landscape” mode for the display of this app on an iPad of any type. ALL I GET is silence from this developer and my Library.
