How Does It Work?

As king for a day, you will follow Prince Fritz on an adventure round the castle when the king and queen go on vacation. As he explores his surroundings, he’ll find out all there is to know about chess, and your children will, too! The wide collection of arcade-style games included with Fritz & Chesster will help to explain everything your kids need to know to get started and improve. Then, they can go and exercise their new knowledge in the Intelligym, before attempting to take on the Black King in the grand finale.

- bug fix. thanks for this update, I’m not convinced that I’ve figured this game out yet…but it’s inspired me to do something like this soon. Deep. Chess, not checkers.

This seems like a good iPad version of the old game I used to teach my kids to play chess with and I was excited to see it available, unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be well maintained. We can’t get off level 1 as the “Chessometer” seems to hang…Fritz asks “What does it say, can we join the intermediates” and then nothing happens, you can’t click anything or get back from this screen. Shame about that.
