User Reviews

Downunder Horsemanship offers a vast, practical library of Clinton Anderson training videos across breeds and scenarios, with users praising the clear instruction and breadth of topics. Mobile access and offline download are valued, helping members watch anywhere. However, repeated playback freezes and compatibility issues with Apple devices frustrate users. Pricing is a common gripe, with many calling the subscription expensive and content gated behind membership or extra kit unlocks. Despite these drawbacks, many users feel the content and value justify the investment.
Pros
  • Extensive library of Clinton Anderson training videos across breeds and topics.
  • Clear, practical instruction that helps with real horse issues.
  • Mobile access with offline download for watching anywhere.
  • Broad variety of training scenarios beyond Mustangs (trail, foals, etc.).
  • Perceived strong value for the subscription, with people calling it a good investment.
Cons
  • Frequent video playback freezes/buffering.
  • Platform/device compatibility issues (Apple TV, iPad rotation, iOS updates).
  • Pricing concerns: subscription is expensive and perceived as high value vs cost.
  • Content access gated by membership; non-members can't watch videos.
  • Extra cost to unlock digital kits; potential duplication of purchases.

No issues with the app on iPhone or smart TV. So much content I can’t catch up with it all. Only criticism is that video titles are not able to be read in the training videos. Have to click on them to read the full title. Small potatoes once you get familiar with the method.

Im loving this progam, and CA for yr, since 99’. Recently got the app and the premium package so I can watch while I make Trekk-ETT saddlebags, but videos FREEEZE ALL THE TIME. Kinda of an expensive thing to have ($40 a month) and have it freeze like this all the time. Several times during all the fundementals & colt starting videos. Not sure of others, havent made it that far. But I want too! Please fix them. Or advise whats the best way to watch without freezing.

I finally signed up for the premium membership for $400 per year to watch training videos because I was tired of watching the free content because of it is interrupted every 5 minutes with commercials. Apparently the app is not compatible with devices like my Apple TV that streams directly to my tv. My husband was totally bummed out because he does not use any other device to stream content. On my iPad the screen would not rotate to horizontal and I could only look at the videos on the vertical which drastically cut down the size of the screen for viewing the video action so I did not find it to be a very good experience and canceled the membership. Really enjoy the content if only the app would have worked.
