I know many people won't understand what about to say. though it's primarily aimed at whoever made this (specifically, whoever WROTE it), it's for anyone.
I really hate when someone speaks, with 'filler-word' popping up constantly.
Maybe you've spoken to someone, and they constantly add the word, 'lioe', to their everything they say ('like, I went to the store, y'know, and when I got there, like - I had a bit of money, y'know..)
In that little example, it had two of some of the most common 'filler-word'; 'like', and 'y'kmow'.
'filler-word(s)' are words, or combinations of, which are added (by habit) and add noting to understanding the sentence it's in. They can - in really bad cases - take up more space than the actual sentence, itself.
Like a cold, theyre picked up - a lot of times by being with others who constantly talk like that.
Like a cold, there's NOTHING beneficial from them.
Since the dawn of our current digital age, that was it; one would pick it up, and they'd passing on,but, now - with everyone communicating through electronic media,'filler-words' have crossed over, and now they're infecting written words.
The reason for my preamble -my explanation about what 'filler-word' are, is because, whilst I tried to skim through this, I was shocked by the massive times 'basically' was popping up.
To give a low-ball figure of how many times it appears and ISNT NECESSARY, I'd have to say 99.98%.
That means less than .01% of the time it appears, it actually HAS a purpose for being there, and ISNT a 'filler-word' .
If the same person who wrote this 'pedia's entry's is also the same person who did a check of it, and DIDNT notice it, it's really scary just how poorly this person's undersnding of basic English was.
I'd like to hope for the best; that whoever is behind this wants to put out the. Best thing possible, and this was just a ...'test verion'.
IFor this reason, alone, I have to give this a rating which I feel says,it was made by someone skilled enough to build an app, and shows promise, but, as of now, it's sorely lacking.
I really, REALLY HOPE that's the case (in which case, I'll immediatelyc change my stars to '5', fitting for a person, or persons who stand proudly behind their work.
