Macroverse excels with a tap-story format that’s immersive and pacing-controlled, a broad library across genres, sharp artwork, and easy, binge-friendly navigation at a great price. Reviewers also note a thriving community and ongoing content. Recurrent drawbacks include the lack of an in-app search, a distracting large UI overlay, occasional very dark panels, and requests for more series summaries/metadata to help discovery.

No in-app search bar makes finding specific comics difficult.

I just got back into sequential comics / graphic novels and I was recommended this app from a couple of guys I met at a Comic Con, pretty sure they were creators on the platform? Anyway, being digital comics I didn’t know what to think before I gave the app a try but I was blown away. Their tap story format is pretty unique, much different than any other type of digital format for comics (though they still give you the option to scroll through pages if you really want to…I would suggest going through the tap story format). Lots of things coming apparently from this team and after joining their community on discord, looks like a lot of momentum for more content and experiences. Some of my favorite series: Gun Candy, Digital Pools, ReMind, Hex11
